[HOT]Solar Electric Scarab-E Concept

Goran Marinkovic is an award-winning designer from Belgrade, Serbia. Considering pollution, radiation, global warming and social problems in the future, Goran designed the Scarab-E concept. The concept is inspired by the Scarab bug, and it focuses on energy consuming, passengers protection and human design.

The car is powered by an electro-engine and supported by four electro-generators, each placed inside the wheels thus more space is left for passengers and luggage. The entire body is covered with solar cells. The wheels are thinner so that the friction with asphalt is decreased.

The body weight is decreased by using light materials based on magnesium for making the body shell. The cars body and roof are covered with UV folio for protecting passengers from radiation and sunrays. Thanks to the smart photocells in folio, passengers will be able to completely decrease window transparency and drive with maximum discretion. The space frame has the protecting architecture of a cocoon, providing maximum impact protection.

Inspired by nature, the car body and the interior are designed to provide the maximum of usable space and its ergonomics is human oriented. The vehicle “feels” the passengers and sets its functions and performance according to their needs.
